First off, just want to thank everyone for the Birthday wishes!  I had a wonderful time here in Sweden! Måndag: Today we went to a castle that was pretty cool! It is one of the most popular ones by Katrineholm, not Sweden, and that was super cool! The walk there was so nice and we had a lot of fun! We then had an experience I will never forget! We were out knocking and the first door we knocked on opened up and you could see the smoke coming out of the room! The man and his wife look at us and the man said "oh you guys are with the church, come in" and we didn't want to because that was not a great environment and said maybe another day and his wife said that they were drunk and that it wasn't a good time either but the man places his hand on our shoulders and kindly Guided us in his house to the living room and we heard the same story 5 times about his life and every time we would ask to leave he would start over again! It was so hard to understand him because he s...

Tuna Town Party!

Måndag: We had a pretty chill Pday and took some time to rest. While we were emailing home the person we were planning on teaching called and said that she had a fever and we don't want to get sick so that didn't end up happening so we went by some people that we would like to start teaching and most of them were busy but said that we could try again. Then we had a FHE with our member mom here in Katrineholm. That was really good and we talked about how trials shape us into the person that we are. We also watched the refiners fire which is a great little video and I highly recommend. Also cut my hair for the first time and that went very well actually, I was very nervous Tisdag: We had a lot of time to find and that was great. We have lost a couple of people that we normally teach which is sad but gives us more time to find more people to teach! Then we went to a språk cafe to learn us some more swedish and be able to just talk with some native speakers and that was really ni...

Saw my "Dad"!?!? #ZoneConference

Monday: We started off by going to a cool castle that was so pretty and had a very cool lake by it! I loved the colors that they had and wished that the trees had leaves on them and that would have made that experience so much better! Then we went and had FHE with a member and that was fun! We had some curry chicken and that was good! We talked about repenting and trying to be the best we can.  Tuesday: We had a said experience today because one of our friends that we have been teaching very regularly dropped us and said that they don't want to meet anymore, which was really sad and was hard for me because I was becoming really good friends with him! We then went out and did some knocking and we found someone that said we could come back and that was exciting! We will see if we can meet with him sometime this next week. Then we traveled to Stockholm and stayed the night there because of Zone Conference! We stayed with the Assistants, Office Elders, Linköpings, and Noköpings....

New Years!!!

Monday: We had a barbecue with all of the Elders quorum and we had some Hot Dogs and let me tell yah that Sweden does it right when it comes to Korv . We also had some cooked peppers and those were really good as well! We then tried to contact all of the people in our area book that would disappear after the 31st because of some laws here in Europe saying that we have to give people a notice that we have there number. But we were able to at least send all of the people that we had a text and if they are interested they will now be able to text us back. Tuesday: New Years Eve! We started off with some good old book of mormon study and that was great! able to get some great readying in! We had a lesson with one of the people that we are teaching but then he didn't show up and that was sad! We then had a nice dinner with a member here and we had some very good Swedish food that was amazing! We had some great orange flavored sauce that was to die for! Then we went to the branch presi...

Jul

Monday: We decided to make some cookies and give them to some of the people that we were teaching and that was super cool to see their faces light up and be able to show them our love for them! We then had an FHE lesson with a member and we watched one of the talks from the Christmas devotional and it was really good and a great reminder of how we can always be improving and trying our best to be more like the Savior! Tuesday: Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse... lies!! There was a lot of stirring because this is when the swedish people all celebrate Christmas and open presents! We spent the night with the Branch President and his family and that was so fun! We watched Kalle Anka and then had some really good food! We then started singing all of these songs and it was sooooooo cool! We would just start singing a song that then we had all these instruments that would just start playing and you felt like the lead...

Shortest Day of the Year!

Image
That is right!  We have passed the shortest day of the year and now the days will start to get longer and longer!   Monday: Today we taught someone that is very energetic and is always fun to meet him but very hard to teach him because he doesn't let us teach him so much. We then had a great FHE with a member and had some very good ricegröt with cinnamon and syrup. Great thing here in Sweden. We also ran to some really cool houses on stilts that are close by our apartment!   Tuesday: We had a lot of time to find and invite people to participate in light the world and it was so fun! I love being the light in others' lives and seeing the light in them turn on when they are actually going to participate! In my personal study today I read how we should never be ashamed to have taken upon us the name of Christ (Mormon 8) and I like that especially for this time of the year when we are trying to be the light in others' lives and the best way to light someone's ...

Bowling

Monday:  We had work overs in Eskilstuna and spent the Pday there and it was so fun!  we went bowling and had a blast with the missionaries there!  They are such a fun group to be with.  We then had a member meal with the former Stake President and we showed them the Christ Child and it was so good!  We told them to focus on one character in particular and see how they feel and what emotions are going through their head. Also cool thing is that it was raining when we went in then it started snowing when we left.   Tuesday:  Finished splits with Tuna town and fun fact was the only day that we have seen the sun this week but the sunrise was so pretty and a great way to start off the day!  Me and Äldste Austin went on splits and we met a guy that I had actually taught a couple of times in Katrineholms and that was funny.  We then went out and talked with this Lady that feeds the ducks there every tuesday  We then had a lesson th...
