I am 19!!!

 First off, just want to thank everyone for the Birthday wishes!  I had a wonderful time here in Sweden!


Måndag: Today we went to a castle that was pretty cool! It is one of the most popular ones by Katrineholm, not Sweden, and that was super cool! The walk there was so nice and we had a lot of fun! We then had an experience I will never forget! We were out knocking and the first door we knocked on opened up and you could see the smoke coming out of the room! The man and his wife look at us and the man said "oh you guys are with the church, come in" and we didn't want to because that was not a great environment and said maybe another day and his wife said that they were drunk and that it wasn't a good time either but the man places his hand on our shoulders and kindly Guided us in his house to the living room and we heard the same story 5 times about his life and every time we would ask to leave he would start over again! It was so hard to understand him because he spoke some drunk/slurred English, Swedish, and one other language that I have no idea was. Then we finally get out of the living room and are about to leave when he said you can't go yet until you have met my wife so we went in and said hi and saw their kitchen table was just full of cigarettes and then we finally got out and sprinted down the stairs scared that he would open the door again and invite us in again. We smelled like smoke the rest of the night! After we had a great pick up with one of the members and had some good food and a great lesson!

Tisdag: We had a lesson planned but then we got on the wrong bus🤦‍♂️ so we had to schedule that for another day but then we had a large time to be able to go out and find. We did have another lesson planned and that was good. He said that is was interesting and has met with the missionaries in the past so that was good.

Onsdag: Today we started out with some finding and trying to run by this guy that said that we can come back but the mornings work the best but he wasn't able to answer. Then we had a lesson with the family that we are their ministering people. We then had the idea to go and find the person that we talked to while walking home from church and spent a little bit looking and finding along the way but it ended up being a wild goose chase because we couldn't find the apartment and that was sad. But we were able to find some people that said that we could come back so that was a success!

Torsdag: We had our last District Council and even before that we had a lesson! It was an interesting one for sure. He sat us down and then proceded to interview us about the church and it was kinda stressful! After that we had some great experiences out finding and that was so cool. Our first experience was with a lady that we talked to for about 20 minutes! She was super nice and said that she respects all religions and likes to talk. She described what she believed and it was so cool to see how much the Gospel has played a role in the world even if people can't quite see it yet. Then the next experience was a guy that we talked to for 10 minutes and he took a Book of Mormon and said that he would read it and that we could come back. He was super nice and I hope that we are able to teach him more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Fridag: We had some good old weekly planning for the last time this transfer and that was sad but good! We then decided that we needed to go on a bus right after that and it was so cool to see so many people on the bus and be able to talk with them. We rode out to the other side of town and then on the way back the bus was packed again! It was so weird to see busses packed here but we had some great conversations and we will hopefully see some of those people again.

Lördag: My Birthday!!! Wow what a crazy thought to think I started my last year of being a teenager!!! We had some Kebab pizza for lunch and then had a fun time! We had some time to go knocking and found someone else that said that we could come back but that she was busy right then because she was having her birthday so that was funny! We also had a lesson with a guy and that was good. He is really interested in religion but not so much in the idea of joining one. So we will see were that goes!

Söndag: Äldste Jackson's Birthday! Yah I know it was crazy! We had some good old Branch Conference and all of the stake presidency was there and then after the meeting we had a little Fika/party for the Birthday boys and also the branch presidents wife because it was her birthday today as well! We had a great lesson with one of our friends and her son. It was super good and she said that she is going to try and figure out a day that she can come to Church. Then we got the dreadful transfer calls and found out that my time with Äldste Jackson has come to an end. He will be headed to an area next to Gothenburg and I will be receiving a new companion, Äldste Thomas! Not to be confused with Äldste Thompson, my trainer. But he is from my MTC group and I am so excited!

  Hello everyone! (8/22/2019) What an amazing week it has been.  I have had a lot of good experiences!  We have been learning the language constantly for the past week and I don't think it is going to change any time soon.  It is crazy how much you feel the spirit here.  I have felt his love for me every day that I have been here. I love my companions, because I got lucky and have 2, and I love my district!  Our district is a lot bigger then I thought it would be. We have 15 Elders and 1 Sister.  We have an Elder from Finland, New Zealand, and a Sister from Switzerland. I have had a good time and love being here.   Message of the week comes from 2 Nephi 9:45 "O, my beloved brethren, turn away from your sins; shake off the achains of him that would bind you fast; come unto that God who is the brock of your salvation." Walking Through Fog

  Hello friends and family, this week has gone by so fast and I feel like time is speeding up, which I don't want to happen but it's doing it anyway! This week was full of adventures! To start of, we went to a reptile place with some inactive members and that was so cool, one of them was really smart and knew a lot and had a little fun fact about almost all the reptile there! He also invited us over to see his snake, which I really want to see because I love holding snakes. We have had a few lessons this week and I have been able to understand a lot more everyday and I am able to add what I want to say without feeling like I am taking away from the lesson. We have done so many role plays and they are paying off with some cool results of me knowing Swedish! I was able to go on splits this week with Äldste Walker and that was really cool!   Monday: We decided to make some cookies and give them to some of the people that we were teaching and that was super cool to see their faces light up and be able to show them our love for them! We then had an FHE lesson with a member and we watched one of the talks from the Christmas devotional and it was really good and a great reminder of how we can always be improving and trying our best to be more like the Savior! Tuesday: Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse... lies!! There was a lot of stirring because this is when the swedish people all celebrate Christmas and open presents! We spent the night with the Branch President and his family and that was so fun! We watched Kalle Anka and then had some really good food! We then started singing all of these songs and it was sooooooo cool! We would just start singing a song that then we had all these instruments that would just start playing and you felt like the lead...
