Week 7

Image
Well I didn't get a Pday last week so this is a combination of everything that has gone down!  We had our last Sunday in the states and our first Sunday in Sweden.  We flew to Sweden and that only took about 20 hours and our flights where changed at the last moment but we got here and we all got our bags.  After that we stayed in the mission home for a night then we found out our first areas.   Our last Sunday in the MTC was wonderful and I had a wonderful experience.  We did a testimony meeting instead of doing devotional review.  That was probably the most powerful experience of my life.  We all have wonderful testimonies and it was so nice to hear everyone's testimony.   We met the mission President and he is awesome.  He is supper nice and he is fun to be around. My first area is Malmö,  which is the furthest south city you can go to in Sweden.  That is right next to Denmark (if you are going to go look it up on...

Week 5

We have received our travel plans to Sweden.  We fly out Monday morning.  Kinda nerve racking but that is alright.  The MTC has been wonderful and I have learned so much about myself and about the Lord. Lots of stuff that have happened this week has been related to change and how there are good times and bad times.  I love how the Lord has helped me whether it is something small like I thought of something and it was sent to me or that the Lord has given me comfort in times of struggle.  I have found joy in studying the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. Change has been a little struggle for me but I am pushing through and putting my trust in the Lord.  I love you all Äldste Paxton 1. Balenced a pen on a marker 2. My Danish friend left on Monday, come to find our we have the same first name

Hello everyone! I am doing great here at the MTC!  I have learn loads of stuff and feel the Holy Ghost daily.  I see people from springville all the time and it makes me feel at home.  I have also met lots of knew friends and I feel like I am home.  I love the people and our teachers and pretty much everything about the MTC!  Me and Äldste Thomas wrote a song to remember the points  of the second lesson.  Don't have a video but it was awesome! In our class we were doing "Mormon Bok " which is Book of Mormon read and we read Moroni 10.  After we were sharing our thoughts and Sister locher said something that really hit me.  In choir Brother Egget( don't know how to spell his name) said that you teach your lessons with the most important thing at the start and the second most important thing at the end.  In Moroni 10:34 it talks about returning to God and living in paradise.  Then I turned to 1 Nephi 1:1 and that one talke...

Week 3

This week has flown by.  You feel everyone's love for you from in and outside the MTC.  This week we have talked a lot about how we need the Holy Ghost with us no matter what!  It will help us with questions we have and guide us to people that we need to meet.  In our devotional on Tuesday we had the opportunity to hear from James B. Martino from the seventy.  He talked a lot on our attitudes and how we need to have a good one and be like Nephi, but if we have a bad one we will end up like Laman and Lemual.  He started of by asking who a person was that left there house and traveled in the wilderness, then went back to get something that they needed, built a boat, traveled a crossed the ocean, and saw an angle.  We all responded Nephi but he said Laman and Lemual.  I had never thought of it that way.  Laman and Lemual had the same experience that Nephi had but the difference was there attitude.  If we murmur and complain then we wont fee...
