Jul

Monday: We decided to make some cookies and give them to some of the people that we were teaching and that was super cool to see their faces light up and be able to show them our love for them! We then had an FHE lesson with a member and we watched one of the talks from the Christmas devotional and it was really good and a great reminder of how we can always be improving and trying our best to be more like the Savior!

Tuesday: Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse... lies!! There was a lot of stirring because this is when the swedish people all celebrate Christmas and open presents! We spent the night with the Branch President and his family and that was so fun! We watched Kalle Anka and then had some really good food! We then started singing all of these songs and it was sooooooo cool! We would just start singing a song that then we had all these instruments that would just start playing and you felt like the lead singing of a band. We also were able to start the Book of Mormon speed read that we are doing as a mission and it has been a really cool experience to be able to just sit down and read for 2 more hours a day and really build your testimony that way!

Wednesday: Christmas! Wow, what an interesting Christmas this was! We were able to start off the day with a solid 2 hours of reading in the Book of Mormon and that was probably one of the coolest things I have ever done! It was so cool to just get into a Christ like attitude and just look for all of those people that need help! We then went to a members house to celebrate jul and try all of there food that they have! We had some awesome Meatballs and some sill (a type of fish, not sörstroming) and it was actually really good! I then was able to call my family and that was a really good time to be able to talk with them and then be able to wish them all a merry Christmas! Also we were able to be with one of our friends that we are teaching and another friend of the member who we were with and this friend of hers has the sweetest little kid I have ever met! She showed me all of her presents that she had and it was super fun!

Thursday: We were able to continue with our time in reading the Book of Mormon and then we went bowling because one of the members asked us if we wanted to go bowling with her and her grandson before we went over to eat and we were like "Of corse!" So we did that and then went to another members house and had some great fish and potatoes.

Friday: We had weekly planning and then with all of the Book of Mormon studies we get to have for the week we only met with a member and a less active for 30 minutes and we talked about the importance of paying tithing and making sure that we are doing that so we that we can always be receiving the blessings that come with that!

Saturday: We had a lesson with another member and we talked about the importance of the Gift of the Holy Ghost. I am so thankful for that gift in my life today because I rely on The Holy Ghost quite often out here in Sweden! The Holy Ghost influences where we go, what we say, and what we do! I hope that you all can also be grateful for the Holy Ghost in your lives and I challenge you to look for how the Holy Ghost helps you in your day to day lives this week!

Sunday: After having a week very much focused on the Savior this sacrament meeting was really cool to be able to share my thanks for Him in my heart and to be able to look back on the week and see all that the Lord has done for me and how I have been able to strengthen my testimony this week!

Love you all and hope that you had a wonderful christmas!
