Surströmming, Växjö, Temple, and Hej Då Malmö!?!?

Monday:  We ate the nasty fish that everyone talks about, Surströmming.  Let me tell you that this very nasty!!  I was able to get it down but then I ended up throwing it up.  That stuff is so gross.  If I never had that within 100 miles of me, I would be happy.  We then taught some members that we are working with and had a message on setting goals and stuff like that because I also needed to hear this.

Tuesday:  We had splits with Växjö and it is so far away from Malmö.  This is our second time doing splits with them and this time I was with Äldste Rantaniemi and he is very cool and I had so much fun.  We did a white board thing that had the questions that say "Which is better:  A beach vacation or A ski vacation"  and we just wanted to see what people would say and then after we started talking to them we were able to talk about why we are here in Sweden.  It was really cool and I was able to ask a group of kids what they thought and they all came and wrote on our board and it got a lot of attention after that!  We then went and stopped by a dude that they have been trying to get ahold of but had never met him before today and he was a really nice guy.   He talked about how we just need to be thankful for what we have and to remember what is most important, which is our family and becoming better people.  That really meant a lot to me and reminded me what I need to focus and to become the best person I can become.  After we knocked on some doors and all of the people that we knocked on where super nice people and we were able to have some very nice conversations that I was only able to understand bits and pieces but for the most part I was able to understand what they are talking about.  After we played some basketball and that was fun.  The people there were really good but I got as many buckets as I could.

Wednesday:  Today we drove back from Växjö and wow it is so beautiful.  I love all the green and the trees that are everywhere.  We then got home and started to work on cleaning the house because the whole mission was doing a day of cleaning their apartments.  We then went to lunch and we changed our minds and ended up at the church and while eating our food we heard a knock on the church door and it was this older guys. We set up a time for him and all of his old people friends to come and take a tour of the church and learn more about the Church.  After that we helped someone move a piano and I was the one that was leading the piano down the stairs.  We had these cool strap things and that helped a ton.

Thursday:  Today is halloween!!!!  But for it being halloween we didn't do much to trick or treat😂 Today we had our last district council for the transfer.  It is so weird to think that it has already been 6 week here in Sweden.  Time is really flying by here!

Friday:  We taught one of our interested people and that went really well.  We committed him to come to church and he said that he would make time this Sunday and that is a big improvement! We then play some floor hockey and that is always fun, especially today because there were so many people that came to play and it was awesome! Other then that nothing else big happened today.

Saturday:  I got to go to the Copenhagen temple!!!!  Wow, I love the temple and the spirit that is there.  I was able to go with one of our recent converts who was doing baptisms for the first time and wow that was a wonderful experience!  I love going to the temple and have always noticed the spirit there but I haven't felt it this strong for a while.  While I was being confirmed I felt this overwhelming feeling of peace and comfort and I know that God loves me. This was also "Alla Helgon Dag" (All Saints Day) where a bunch of people go light a bunch of candles at headstones and graveyards and let me tell you, it is beautiful!  You go and think about people that you know that have passed on to the next life and I thought of my Grandpa and I felt his presence and that was another really cool thing that proved to me that this Gospel is 100% true and I wouldn't want to be anywhere except Sweden and I wish Malmö

Sunday: Fast and Testimony meeting, and it was wonderful but our friend didn't show up so that was sad!  It is a lot easier to feel the spirit when you know somewhat of what they are talking about.  After Church a member pulled all the missionaries and some of the members aside and did a little music leading class so that we would all know how to lead music.  Nothing else happened that day until 5:45 when transfer news came and I found out I was leaving Malmös😥  I will be headed to Katrineholms up north a little west of Stockholm.  I leave the area on Wednesday morning and arrive in Katrineholms in the afternoon

Love you and miss you all!
