Stake Conference!
Monday: We had FHE with a member in the ward and we had the lesson and we decided to teach on obedience. The lesson turned out really good. I learned that I know a lot more than I thought I did in Swedish because I had a 45 minute conversation with one of the people there about Star Wars and it was wonderful! We also visited a Castle that is, come to find out, private and probable someone's house but oh well...
Tuesday: We did some finding and had some success with finding some new people to teach. We also had a video zone meeting where we talked about how we can use the Light the World campaign the best and the best ways to serve the people here in Sweden. I can't wait to be able to share it with everyone that I come in contact with!!
Wednesday: It was sunny outside today so we went out and knocked some doors a little earlier and the people were so nice. It was also nice to see the sun and enjoy the wonderful Vitamin D from the actual sun. It was also cool to see that the sun is actually never really that high in the sky, it is just up and down over in the horizon.
Thursday: We had district council and it is so weird to think that this transfer is already halfway over!!!! We then went to our apartment to eat some lunch when one of Äldste Jackson's tires popped on his bike. We then went on a tube hunt for the rest of the day trying to find a bike tube that would fit the bike and our pump (we may have bought a tube that was the right size but our pump did work for it
🤦🏿♂️) so we ended up only looking for a tire or something to repair the tire that was popped and we had no luck
Friday: We ran to a store that sold tires and we found a tire that would fit our wheel and our pump. It took us 20 minutes of looking through all of the tires because there are so many for some reason! After that we taught a member and that was good. We then started splits and I went up the Eskilstuna with Äldste Barney! We took a train there and then went to bed.
Saturday: We finished splits and I had so much fun! We went bus contacting and it was so natural and I talked with so many people. I talked with 5 different people and all of them had nice conversations with me tell they got off! They were all super nice and asked how long I had been in Sweden and were shocked when I told them only 2 months. This was another really big confidence booster. We then finished splits and me and Äldste Jackson headed to Södertälje where we would stay the night and then head to Stockholm for Stake conference the next day. While we were telling stories of splits we kinda missed our stop and then had to wait for Äldsterna from Södertälje to drive and pick us up at the next stop. I did, however, get to catch up with Äldste Goodsell from my MTC group and that was super cool.
Sunday: We traveled with Äldsterna och Systrarna from Södertälje to Stockholm. Before stake conference we had our interview with President Youngberg and he is a very inspired person! He knows what questions to ask and you just feel loved by him! We then received our stuff for Light the World and I couldn't be more excited to share this with the people here in Katrineholms! After, we met up with a bunch of other missionaries from our zone and I got to see Syster Flake from Malmö again! I also got to see Äldste Fox, who is also from my MTC group and it was nice to catch up with him as well! We then said our goodbyes and headed back to Katrineholms only to remember that the Äldste that was here from Eskilstuna still had my bike key so they had to do a quick little journey down here to give us back the key. And that is a rap for this busy week here in Katrineholm!
Love you and miss you all so much!
