Katrineholm!!!!!
This week has been so busy and I really haven't had time to type this thing out until today, so this might be a little shorter than my previous emails but I will do my best to remember this past week!
Monday: This was my final Pday in Malmö. We visited the Turning Torso, which is the tallest building in Scandinavia which was really cool. We went inside it thinking you could go to the top and when the elevator only when to the 12th floor and you needed a key to continue we decided to go back down and ask the receptionist if we could go to the top, come to find out the entire building was private and we were not supposed to be in there but oh well🤷🏿♂️ I still would have gone in anyway. We then had a family home evening with one of the families and it was really good. I also started packing to leave on Wednesday .
Tuesday: This was my last full day in Malmö and we did a lot of picking up for transfers and stuff so that was fun and then I finished packing but other then that is wasn't anything special
Wednesday: I left for Katrineholm on a train at 8:10 which was really early. We were out the door at 7:30 and I had to say goodbye to my trainer/"Dad" which was sad. The train ride was long but one of the sisters from Malmö was on the train with me so that was nice to have someone to talk to that wouldn't close me out in 5 minutes and put in headphones. I then arrived in Katrineholm and met my new companion, Äldste Jackson and one of the members here. We got to the apartment and then went out and started finding!
Thursday: We had a lesson with someone that is progressing really well and after that we did some knocking in the cold and I was not quite ready for how cold it was but that was a good learning experience that I now needed to be ready for.
Friday: We made some snicker doodle cookies and they were really good. We made them to give to a member for there Birthday. We also did weekly planning and I learned a lot about the area and what the goals were for here.
Saturday: We were assigned talks in sacrament meeting and we finished writing them today. Mine was about faith and hope and how they are the same thing. I really like the scripture from Alma 32: 21 because that is the exact description I would give it. After that we did some knocking and going by people that we are trying to get to sacrament meeting. While we were knocking we found someone that was really interested and it was good to give a short lesson and talk about our church. The person we found was already looking for a church/religion that was true. Just a great experience. We also cleaned the church and that only took an hour for me and Äldste Jackson to do because it is very small. There is a chapel and a hall and 3 rooms and a kitchen.
Sunday: We walked to church and that was cool to see the area a little better then zoomen by on a bike. We then practiced the baptismal prayers because we give them every week which is nice and good because I have missed saying the prayer and being apart of the Sacrament. After that we went and knocked on some doors and stuff and yah. During our companionship study I had a feeling to call a member and read the book of mormon with them in english and that was a really good thing and you could tell that they really appreciated it!
Have a wonderful week and as always Love you and Miss you all!
