Time Change
I am trying something knew and seeing how it works. This one is a longer email and I have always tried to make mine short but we will see how it goes. I know that reading all the missionary emails can be a lot so..... I tried
Monday: We taught a Family Home Evning lesson to a part member family and a less active family and we did the lesson where you put a bunch of heavy stuff into a backpack and then take out the weight as you come closer to Jesus and Heavenly Father, which was perfect for the age group that we were teaching. We then played some games with them and that was supper fun! After games we had pizza and talked with everyone that was there.
Tuesday: We then went to help the Clouses prepare for zone conference and that was fun. I learned how to do some fancy things with napkins and that was cool. After we finished helping they took us to McDonalds and that was so good! It was nice to have something that was kinda from the states. We then went to stake concel and that was cool even though I didn't understand most of what was said. We then picked everyone up that is staying at our appartment and it has been a party. We have 8 people staying in our appartment. We have us, the AP's, Kristianstad, and Halmstad.
Wednseday: Was a very busy day!! To start off, we had to help everyone get to the train station so that they could all get to Lund, because we can't drive everyone and that was very busy because we all had to get ready for the day and then have everyone out of the door by 8! After that was over we were able to drive over to the Lund chaple and have ZONE CONFERENCE! Wow, that was one of the best momoments of my life! The guidence that I got and the spirit that I felt was amazing. I have been really intriged by the history from the Book of Mormon and how everything has happened and then President Youngberg talked about that exact things that he taught, and lets just say that he spent about an hour on this subject and I had the confermation that what I was so brought in by in the Book of Mormon was 100% true. We were also able to watch the video that the church has made for Light the World and let me tell you, it is SOOOOOOO good! Just being able to watch it was really spiritual because of the story that they told about. After zone conference we came home and then went and visited some people that have been taught in the past but haven't been taught in a while. They also don't have the Data Privacy Notice that we have to give to everyone out here because of privacy laws here in Europé. Because we are representing the church and have to record all the numbers that we get (that is also why I haven't put any names of the people that I am teaching). But we found 2 people that were very interested and we taught them the restoration and it was so good. I have never felt the spirit stronger in a lesson that we have taught. You could also tell that they felt the spirit as well because they were not as interested at the beggining but after I recited the first vision, almost crying because it ment so much to me, and that was just great.
Thursday: We taught one of the kids in our ward that is about to get baptized and that was fun. He knows like 4 different languages and switches between them all the time when we teach him, which is fun to not know what he is talking about half the time! On our way home a random dude called us and said "Hey are you the missionaries down in Malmo" (I know most of you don't know how to say this but he said it very wrong) but we set up a meeting for Sunday after church and that was really awesome because you never have people call you and ask for lessons!
Friday: Nothing big happened for today except for we had a member meal and that was really good. It was some kind of chicken and that yellow sause again! The more I have this yellow sause the more I want to learn how to make it
Saturday: We went today and visited a less active youth in the ward and we just talked. We talked about his life and Sports. He likes basketball and soccer, which is quite rare here in Sweden to find someone that likes another sport then soccer.
Sunday: First we have sacrament meeting, which is always a great place to feel the spirit and I understand more and more every week I am here. We then had a lesson planned but the person actually called us and turns out he got very sick and you could hear it. We then went to the member meal and it was very good spetti and meat balls and for dessert we had some Black Bean cake and that was interesting. It was a more bitter cake but had some sweet icing so that was good and you ate it with mangos on top which added some more sweetness. After that we drove to some GU's that were a little further away and we ended up at this families house that is 30 minutes away and they were also having dinner so we had dinner with them as well. It was some good pork chops and gravy, and lets just say that I was very full from this and didn't want any more food after.
Love you and miss you all!
